Dear Valued Van Schaik Bookstore Customer,
On the 23rd of March, our President announced a Nationwide Lockdown from midnight of Thursday, 26th March. Only a limited range of services have been deemed essential and exempted. Van Schaik Bookstores fall outside this category and as a result, all our physical brick and mortar shops will have to be closed. Online orders of physical goods from bookshops for delivery to the public will also not be allowed as from Thursday, 26th March at 17h00 until 16 April per government regulations.
As a responsible corporate citizen for more than a century, we will adhere to the set Lockdown regulations and in solidarity with those who have also been affected by the Covid-19 virus.
Van Schaik has always been guided by its values which include excellence, integrity and creativity.
These will continue to guide us in such challenging times.
We have therefore proactively put the following measures in place as we play our part to demonstrate social-distancing:
- A process for accelerating the distribution of outstanding orders previously made online.
- Making available a selection of academic and educational textbooks in e-format for sale on www.vanschaik.com
- Customer services via our website chat, mobile rewards app and social media platforms for assistance, queries and information.
- Our website chat service will specifically be on hand to assist with setting up e-textbooks.
